What is Kinetic Energy

• Kinetic energy is basically energy of a body (or system) due to motion.
• The faster the body moves, the higher it’s kinetic energy.

So we define kinetic energy as:

$$K=\frac{m{v}^2}{2}kg\frac{m^2}{s^2}$$

For mass $m$ and speed $v$ much less than that of light. Unit = Joule.
